Leg attack! something similar to heart attack, we have something called as leg attack.  It is called as Peripheral Vascular Disease PVD in medical terms, it occurs when blood vessels outside the heart and brain become narrowed or blocked.


It results in reduced blood flow. Patients may experience symptoms such as leg pain while walking (claudication), numbness, coldness in the limbs, slow-healing wounds, or even tissue loss in severe cases. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to prevent complications like critical limb ischemia or limb loss.


Peripheral Vascular Disease is a progressive condition. One good thing about this disease is , if it is diagnoseded early then we can prevent complications such as ulcers, infections, and critical limb ischemia.


Interventional radiology procedures can restore blood flow, relieve symptoms, and significantly improve quality of life for patients with PVD and above all it reduces the amputation rate and offers limb saving by minimally invasive techniques.
